Adult PPC Campaign Report

Ok.. just thought seeing how you mofos are soooo helpful, I would show how things can unfold when you try the dangerous PPC game with adult terms.

Here is a bit of background.
1) been in adult web biz since 1998 or 99. I got real good with lycos and altavista and was earning affiliate $ by the shitloads.. $500-1000 a day off Pam and Tommy lee for ex..

2) I got tied up in 2002 with a lot of other things, partying one of em and satellite biz the other.. Made a buck in that too..

3)2005 I finally saw my affiliate cheques not even cover my hosting. not bad for having let it go to the shitter back in 2001 or so…4 years of residual/recurring perverts.. I had a lot on board for a long time hehehh

4)2006 I hear the words im sure a lot of you have…”Honey, Im pregnant”…Panic sets in.. Time to make $ on web again. I spend about 6 months, 12 hr days and realize at some point how different the game is, but am determined.. The whole time Im working with a dude who had stayed into it while I took my 4 yr leave in adult..Turns out he was a fukin con and took me for a lot of hard work etc.. o well live and learn. I think i grasped some important skills in the 6 months we worked in sync.. but that took a lotta steam outta my sails

5) Early 2007, I am back to making enough to cover hosting fees, cable bill and phone/cell phones (and a few diapers)… Not much more though… Then June hits, and boom.. We have another mouth to feed… Time to ramp up the work ethic.. Im motivated more then ever..Problem is, 2 in diapers.. its hard to be awake late and burn the ol midnite oil like the old days…

6) Affiliate Elite comes out in November.. I buy 1st day. Think all is swell, Ill just piggyback successful PPC campaigns and will never really have to work that hard.. Wow.. I will never assume anything web related is easy, and if ever ANYONE tells you it is, they are trying to sell u something.. Its bullshit, you need to work hard..If something falls into place along the way then thats a product of hard work… YOu wouldnt have oppurtunity if you didnt put yourself in the position to realize it… Doy*le Bruns*on said something like that didnt he?.. good poker players dont get lucky, they put themselves in positions TO GET LUCKY.. Betting the GUTSHOT on the turn and getting 2 callers who have you beat.. then hitting your 4 outer on the river to give you the nuts and 2 callers when you go all in.. Can you be called lucky or good? well if you didnt play that hand, you would be NEITHER. Correct? same with work ethic and web development. Put yourself in a position to be bettering yourself, and dont be surprised when it does happen…

So affiliate elite showed me a lot about what I could have learned just by paying attention and dabbling with the ppc market (not on adwords, but something less traffic intense, like msn adcenter for ex)

So jan/feb rolls around, and I have tried a few PPC campaigns with NON Adult stuff (clickbank products) but to no avail.. This was probably me choosing shitty snakeoil sales pitched products that were garbage, and not putting myself in consumers shoes enough…

Still making enough off adult to cover some experiments, but diapers for the 2nd new one in the house are getting costly.. MUST MAKE MUCH MORE MOOOOONAH…

I begin a small ppc campaign (and Ill be honest here, I will say niches I promoted, as I have nothing to lose.. most are soo competitive we could all be doing it tomorrow, most im out of anyhow and on to others The NICHE was trannys.. Yes I did the unthinkable..

Decided to myself that with Affiliate Elite, a sub to nichebot.com and SpeedPPC (I love this forum), I decided to roll out 100+ TOP traffic genrating keywords in the 9 in 1 tool on nichebot, revolving around my niche (trannys) hahahah that makes me laff..

Next, I goto the big sites, cause I know the guys pretty well.. Patrick from the*hun*dot*net is a helluva guy, and he makes about 300k a month off porn.. He has knocked my server on its ass many times.. But with him I know his traffic is very picky and hard to sell to.. so guys who pay for top listings, have a way with sales copy… Basically, copy/rewrite the shit out of these paid listings.. link-*o-*rama*dot*com and tommy*s*book*Marksdotcom, marks-bookmarkdotnet are a few others… well theres tons but ur just tryin to get a good concept for landing pages.. Preferably one where you can compare 3 sites .. or just focus on the one with a more salesy attitude.

That shouldnt take too long.. really, if you do it right and research well, you should be able to do all that and design a pretty basic landing page that you can alter soon.. all in about 3 hrs Id guess.. It can be tricky though to find sponsors who are paying big $ for FREE signups.. the old days it was a joke to find.. CE,Max*cash,12*clicks,gamma.. they were all paying you to send them a pervert with a credit card. usually offering 50$ a signup, for a free membership.. nowadays though its tougher.. only a few of them do it, and when they do its not always for long.. so you NEED to be aware of

the main thing is I get a solid heads up on new campaigns that sponsors are going to give to their affiliate/adult webmasters, within a week or 10 days beforehand)this allows for SEO and blogging i guess but more for me, PPC campaign preparation

Once i figure out who is paying what for PPC, I take AE and put it to work for a bit researching for a week leading up to the campaign with 10 or so similar niche sites, and see what they are bidding on.
Now I know QS will come up here but your landing page is important, and if you are using SpeedPPC i dont know if it helps the QS, I cant imagine it really does but maybe someone can chime in on this … To me it saves a shitload of time making big campaigns, simple as that,..

Big thing here is my guy tells me to get campaigns prepped a week or so in advance.. Cause he knows a niche off one of the 12 affiliate managed sites hes part of is going to be offering 50-75$ PAY PER SIGNUP and that they are FREE to surfer, as long as they have a credit card.. -2 days access, and this ALWAYS involves the network of sites so they get access to all of them anyway..this jumpstart makes it easier to come over the top with my bids..

I have done 3 of these campaigns in past 4 weeks.. I havent given it all the time I could, but tomorrow I will share the LIVE one I am doing now, its in the %%%% niche.. **** n stuff.. its a tough niche cause of the broader search terms, AND I didnt manage the campaign today closely, so i got a lotta clicks this afternoon from tire kickers.. its nothing for you to get 400 clicks in an hour on a competitive 10 word campaign.. and at 20-40 cents a click u wanna be careful..

ok sorry for the length of this post.. I know this didnt get to the “making money” in adult part yet, and its not even NSFW yet.. Boring eh.. I am tired and have to hit the hay.. Tomorrow though, I will continue on with the CURRENT ****** themed campaign i have going on, as well as the tranny campaign that in fact DID make me $340 in my first day, broke even on day 2 then day 3 - decent, making me another 150$, so as you can see niched sponsors and smart campaign management CAN make you big $ in adult.. There is SOO much traffic there and surfers who click to the right.. they are far more targetted for your campaigns.. I am an AMATEUR at ppc to, remember that.. I have 9 campaigns in my account, most never went active lol.. Luckily though with the proper tools, sponsor and “implementation” there is a TON Of room for profit in ppc with adult and there are TONS of of custys (customers)
